Reading Gifts Freebie!

Happy Tuesday!

Last week, I wrote about my students' awesome growth in their reading levels. We just finished our third (out of four) rounds of F & P testing. This week we are remaining in our current Power Hour groups because this is the last week before Spring Break (yes!). The first grade team has already restructured the fourth quarter groups and will start the week we come back after break.

I will be working with a few of the same students and many new ones! I'll be rotating three groups: Level E, F, and G. I'm excited to "move up" a bit in levels. Remind me to share the time I taught Level AA for FOUR quarters!

I'm offering this cute bookmark for my students
as a thank you gift for all their hard work:

I attached a pencil after laminating:

I always feel bad about the pencils because they DO NOT sharpen. Have you had any luck with them? I stick with my Ticonderoga for classwork!

If you can use these black/white bookmarks to celebrate your students' reading, download them here!

Have a super week!

  2. I know what you mean. I always buy fun dollar store pencils, but they don't sharpen and the outside jams up the sharpener. I found if you use a cheap hand sharpener, they work just fine. Love the bookmarks! :)

  3. The best pencil sharpener of all time is the one from classroomfriendlysupplies.com. At my school we love it! Will sharpen even those dollar store ones & they don't break!

Marie, I'm sorry that's happening to you! I'm not a premium member, but still able to access files at Scribd. If it doesn't work, please leave me your email address & I can send you the pdf file.
    Thanks again,
