It's Like Christmas Around Here!

Happy Sunday!

I ♥ the fact that I had to stop and think about what day of the week it is! Yay Summer!

Although I'm thankful for any extra time to sit and breath, summer is only a month in these parts & I have a TON on my to-do list. My first day of summer was Wednesday and as I wrote here, I've already been to a million several appointments. The week ahead is more of them same...but a tiny bit more fun, in my opinion. I'm heading back to the dentist, then picking out some classy glasses (any ideas?), and then trying out a new hair place. I had a consultation on Saturday and feel very hopeful!

My main focus of the summer is my presentation on July 30th. Last week I received the wonderful, but surprising stats on the audience and I'm happy to report that all my materials have been tweaked to represent the expanded age groups. Here's a peek of what they look like (more soon!):

I made sampler binders for PreK/K through 8th grade with many of the data trackers being a "variation on a theme." Next, I plan on bundling them PreK-3rd ("Lower") and 4th-8th ("Upper"). Each file will be about 125 pages or more with a large variety of goal planning, goal setting, and student data trackers. I've been working on these since last summer and was able to test them out all school year. I'm SO excited about sharing these soon!

I set up my schedule for my blink-and-you-miss-it summer break. I'm designated a large portion of every morning dedicated to practicing my presentation. I tend to get a tiny bit nervous (major understatement) and 75 minutes in front of hundreds of people literally makes me feel shaky. I also penciled in my daily workouts and a few lunch dates!

Another huge project that I really need to tackle is my Dropbox. It's completely cluttered and even my searches don't find everything anymore. Typing in "write the room" brings up dozens of files, no joke :(

I also have noticed that I've downloaded, then redownloaded the same files?!? Some are updates, but most are just due to my lack of Dropbox organization.

Until now.

I've been painstakingly going through each file...opening and then deciding if it needs to be deleted or renamed. I'm already up to "W" (started backwards on Z, so not actually that impressive) and it's like Christmas around here! I just rediscovered SO many gems that I had forgotten completely about! I also found a cringe-worthy freebie that although the content was helpful, the fonts, graphics, and alignment were dreadful. I had fun giving it a quick makeover...here it is:

I also made them in black and white in case you're trying to match a theme :)

Please consider following me as I'll be revising all my freebies and products this summer!

Thank you!

  1. What a wonderful freebie. I will definitely be using this product as you suggested, after reading groups. Thank you for this. I think it is a great 'close' to our lessons. I think you might also enjoy my, especially now that you are organizing. I think I may have some FREEBIE forms that you might find useful for your start of the school year. (P.S. I am also on FB) :)
