Photos & Freebies!

I've been extremely reluctant to display any photos of my workspace. I have seen some absolutely AMAZING classroom
set-ups that I couldn't have even dreamed of
(have you seen this? WOW!).

As a special educator, I am just so, so thrilled that I HAVE workspace. I feel very lucky & I'm beyond grateful. I have (& happily) taught small groups in hallways, "chill-out" zones, the "cafeterianasium," etc. I actually think my students liked it because working with Ms. D brought a change of scenery & potential for adventure (in the form of being relocated).

This year we have moved into a new building! This move provided me with a HUMONGOUS office! I have a nice desk, chair, and file cabinet that takes up maybe 1/18th of all that space!!

I have some pics, but they're not pretty. I'm 99% sure there are several generations of mice that are not at all pleased I've arrived :(

Here's a before pic :

The after pic doesn't look all that different...but I have the idea of eventually putting in a little library for students. I don't have any furniture, but I'm thinking I can add one piece (or shelf) at a time (donors choose!) In the meantime, I visited Target and saw SO many cute things, but as you can see from the above pic, I have quite a bright color combination to work with. So what looks amazing with green, yellow, & red?

Zebra & sequins, of course!

I don't have an extensive read-aloud collection, but I have tons and tons of Reading A-Z books and decodables. I also use the phonics flipbooks (pick up your free set here!) for my students practicing word families.

I used the cute letter-people from The 3AM Teacher!

Please don't forget about the epic B2S Sale at TPT! Everything in my store is 20% off through Monday August 13th, PLUS an extra 10% off using Promo Code BTS12!
