 LISTENING - have you checked out www.rockmyrun.com yet? I promise I'm not associated in any way with them, I'm just their number one fan  :)  They release a new mix every week & they are so much fun!

LOVING - my new students! They are truly the sweetest! After looping last year's students, I'm feeling challenged as I learn more about my new students' strengths and needs. They are going to help me grow this year :)  I also received some very good news this week about my father's health. It was unexpectedly good & I realized I had been practically holding my breath these past few weeks!

THINKING - I think I did it!! The special educators create lesson plans based on the general education lessons. I've always done this in a "week-at-a-glance" format per content area. It was fine, but I found that I NEVER referred to them. As I sat down to do next week's, I tried putting the four major content areas on one page to create a daily lesson plan. Writer's Workshop will occasionally be swapped out for Language Arts, depending on the daily schedule. I think it's going to work!

I think the general use of space already makes these plans more accessible (fingers crossed!). Plus, no more flipping pages on my clipboard - it's all on one page now.

 

 

WANTING - my favorite flavored-season is almost here! Pumpkin spice coffee, punpkin scented candles, mini-pumpkins...LOVE!

NEEDING - sleep! We escape to visit Florida every Christmas and it is hands-down the best sleep I get all year!

 

FAVORITE THINGS - I finally got the lamination from Sam's Club! I ignored the directions to place the pages in the feeder thing & it still worked just fine! MAJOR savings = less guilt on all the $ I spend on teaching every year!
