I've already completed "Round 1" and couldn't wait to share these items I picked up for my firsties!
It's Clabby Caitlyn Kindergarten Smile's Common Core Mathematics "Hot Seats" - I picked up both the Kindergarten and 1st grade packs!
They are adorable cards featuring tasks (I think there's at least 8) for every CCSS grade-level mathematics standard! I love the idea of putting them under the students' seat, except after meeting my new students, I'm really worried about them bumping their heads (legitimate fear!).
So I created a "Math Mastermind" box we can use as an incentive for working hard during our math block:
The box features the Kindergarten-level cards so we can experience success while we continue to build our routines. The first grade cards have the binder clip, so the activity can last throughout the school year!
