Happy April 1st!
Here's my Currently post for Farley's monthly linky at
Listening - The one and only Mary J. Blige will be singing at our national conference this summer! As soon as I found out, I set up a playlist! Last year we had Estelle (♥) ...such strong women who support education for all. Yay!
Loving - I've been having so much fun on Instagram recently. I love the beautiful pics all of you share and the positive vibes all around. It's definitely one of my happy places :)
Thinking - Oh my. I do this 6K every year and I can't believe it's in less than a month! Such a beautiful course and a truly wonderful cause. If you happen to be in the area, please check it out!
And ignore the run-walker near the back of the pack!
Wanting - I have SEVEN more school days until spring break! The students have nine days, but I'm leaving next Thursday for a 3-day conference in Philadelphia. There's a lot to accomplish before the break, so I hope these days pass by productively (finish progress reports, F&P, 3 more IEP meetings!), peacefully (please!), and QUICKLY (thank you!)!
Needing - I've had spring fever the last few days and been a bit grumpy about working the 75+ hours all teachers do. I had to readjust my priorities over the weekend and focus on catching up on more sleep/less coffee. As much as I hated to take a break, it did the trick and I'm feeling a lot better! Last week I would have had a list of everything I desperately NEEDED, but today I realize I've got it all :)
Hours /Last Day - I sit down at my desk at 6:30 am everyday. Our morning stand-up (all staff) is at 7:30 and the doors open for students at 7:40. On Tuesdays I have a Teacher Development Leaders training from 6:55-7:25 (really awesome training!). Our dismissal is from 4:05-4:30 and then I'm usually in my car by 4:45-5:00. It's a long day! I do receive one planning and a lunch break (45 min each) every day. Our last day of school was supposed to be June 17th (I think), but we went over on our snow days, so it may be adjusted. We go back to school the last week of July!
I'd love to hear what's going on with all of you! Please link up with Farley and/or leave a comment below. Thank you!
Have a terrific Tuesday!
That is such a long day! Hats off to you and your students
