I work with amazing people!
The teachers I interact with all have different personalities and
teaching styles, yet it's clear we are all giving everything we've got to help our students & their families. Sadly, I know this is not the case in most schools & I'm extremely thankful.
Our administration is unbelievably talented. At a school with significant challenges, our leadership team works tirelessly to support the students, families, and staff.
We are truly "team & family."
We are truly "team & family."
As the 2011-12 school year closes, we are restructuring our staff & management roles to reflect our growth and needs. The entire staff had the opportunity to share their professional hopes and goals, as well as apply for developing leadership positions.I did a lot of head-nodding during these discussions and got excited for my colleagues, but remained silent. I feel like the only person on the staff who feels this way, but I just don't want to be a leader, of any kind! I even eagerly nominated others to be leaders just so I would be participating, but not considered! I also believe there are people on our staff who would excel in leadership & the students will most definitely benefit from it.
I look forward to being led by them :)
As for me, I'd rather spend less time here:
and more time here:
I'm don't think you're alone on this one. You are leading kiddos every day!! It's a pretty important place to be!
