Poetry Center Freebie

3 more days of school!

Yesterday was a VERY exciting school day! Our students have already had their end-of-year ceremonies and celebrations
(pics coming soon!). On Friday we only had half-filled classrooms...but if you didn't come to school, you really missed out because we had to EVACUATE, again!

This is the 3rd evacuation in 2 years!

Who needs to "practice" fire drills?

I'm not sure where the smoke originated from, as I was in a meeting when we were told to leave immediately. 30 minutes
and 4 fire trucks later, we were allowed back in. It was so cute...you would have thought it was one of my student's birthday - he was beyond excited as each fire truck pulled up! All I could think about was the mounds of paperwork I was immersed in for our audit & how if there's a fire in that room itt would be an INFERNO! (BTW - I didn't finish! So Monday it will be a ponytail, glasses, and possibly pajamas!).

As we are packing up our classrooms for summer (& we're moving buildings!), teachers have been sharing resources they no longer need. One teacher shared a stack of poetry file folder centers with me. She had a super idea & this morning I typed it up and started assembling:

 The nursery rhyme/poem was printed from FCRR.
