I'm linky up with Teaching Maddeness to share
on one of my all-time fave topics!
The Math Specialist at our school sends us terrific math concept songs, "piggy-backed" on simple tunes the students are already familiar with (i.e.: Twinkle, Twinkle). The lyrics match the steps the students follow for problem-solving, basic operations, etc. I also incorporate Heidi's Songs for phonics, especially consonant digraphs & vowel "teams." My students love them!
But music is most often used in our classrooms to celebrate and dance to. Michael Jackson is by far the most-requested, but other hits include the Black-Eyed Peas and the ear-splitting "catchy" Gummy Bear Song. I would LOVE to meet whoever wrote that gem, I just have a few questions for them!

Oh my word! I have never heard the Gummy Bear song! I'm sure they love that! I can see having a "Gummy Bear Celebration!" with the song and candy! :) Thanks so much for linking up!

I just checked out the Gummy Bear Song and I know my kiddos will love it. I'm thinking of using it with adjectives and then having the candy too. Anything to bring candy into the mix. I'm now following!!
