Currently: August

Yup, it's August! Thanks Farley for keeping us on track :)

Here's my August Currently...be sure to check out everyone else's...I love reading them, especially the B2S must-haves!

Here's mine:

Listening - this video was just released yesterday! It's our annual video shown at the national conference (which sadly we didn't attend due to budget cuts). It's SO inspiring & I watch the past videos all school year long for an extra boost. This year, our own lil' ones are featured!! You'll see them in their light blue polo shirts throughout the video, plus playing with the parachute. LOVE them! (BTW - that's the same parachute activity I wrote about here. Yikes!) 

Loving - we added 17 new staff members this year - that's a lot! I've been back at school for 1.5 weeks now & involved in heavy-duty professional development. The sharing & knowledge from the new people I've met (they are mostly teachers) has been amazing. I'm excited & happy that they totally seem on board!

I can't wait for our students to meet them!

Thinking - I would love to take a moment to NOT think!

I'm already thinking about winter break :)

Wanting - a new Fiat parked outside my door. That is all.

Needing - my Amazon order! I need to press "submit" to get all these goodies, but I keep thinking of more things I need!

Here's what is waiting patiently in my cart:

Base Ten Blocks - our school gives general educators classroom sets of manipulatives, but Interventionists & Special Educators share a set. Sometimes it's just easier to have your own!

Unifx Cubes (just need one more set!)

I use them for math and literacy:

Double-Dice - I've never used them & can't wait to incorporate these this year!

Manuscript Letter Beads - I set up this learning center using all my beads. Now I need to get more because Marsha just released a sight word version!

Iphone cases - I switch them out to match my outfits

(& I do realize how that sounds...)

Blinc eyeliner - good stuff!
