It's been a sad morning already & it's not yet 7:00 am.
I have a physical next week & my doctor ordered bloodwork :(
I'm going in this morning and had to fast.
Forget the fact that I'm starving, my sadness stems from the severe lack of coffee! I understand that I have to fast, but then why does the lab not open 'til 8:00 am??? That seems awfully cruel to early risers like me. I WILL be first in line & I WILL have an extra large DD waiting in my car for me :)
To distract myself, I'm having a flash giveaway!
I'm so excited about my newest activity pack - Number of the Day! I just uploaded it here and it features flashcards and 40 activity pages for numbers 1-20.
I have created several activity page packets & have more in various stages of incompletion. At my school, our first graders receive a weekly homework packet and reading log. A new packet goes home in their binder every Monday. Every teacher does it a little differently, but most check for completion M-F and then collect the old packets when inserting the new. At this time, they are looking over the completed packet for completion & anything glaringly alarming (such as parents' handwriting instead of the 1st graders!). As the special educator on the team, I create a differentiated homework packet. I offer the packet to all the teachers, not just the co-teachers I work most closely with. Last year, approximately 5 students out of 25 in each first grade class work from the differentiated packet.
To create the packets, I have relied heavily on ebooks & wonderful TPT resources I've discovered. Last year I started creating my own packets because I wanted to align the skills closely to the general education curriculum. I have really enjoyed making & using them! I have created packets featuring specific skills:
and mixed literacy & math skills packets:
(Whoa! I didn't realize I've made that many!)
Anyway, I'm making even more and this is where you come in!
Last time I asked for suggestions, everyone was so sweet & I read so many fantastic ideas! I'd love to hear from you again...so this is what you have to do & what you'll receive!

Carried Away in Kindergarten
Wow! How generous- thank you! I have been following your store and am now following FB and your blog. I would love to have the letter of the day packet. One suggestion I have is a packet for the "magic e". This is on my to do list, but not sure if I will get to it. I already know that I will have some firsties who struggle with cvc and then magic e ending. A packet for working with these words would save me so much time! Thanks! Savor every sip of your coffee! I am so excited I discovered your blog today! I completed step one! Thank you so much for sharing- I would love your letter of the day packet! I already have your number packet in my TpT cart and I cannot wait to take a peek at the rest of your goodies! The only way I could see your packet working even better for me is if there could be a choice between your font and d'nealian during the writing parts. My students tend to get a little overwhelmed when I overload them with different handwriting. Thanks again for sharing!!!

Oh my gosh....sooo glad I came across your site. So many items/ideas for kdg. classrooms! I'm always interested in anything fun and new to help my kinders grow! I'm especially into anything in math, especially ways to help develop a strong number sense in my kiddos, as well as implementing math stations, as that will be new for me. As always, any ideas shared are always helpful! I would like you number packet. Thanks sooo much. Hope you have a great start to your year.....I'll be following!
