I'm so excited to be participating in this amazing event!
Thanks to Jessica at Mrs. Stanford's Class for taking on this HUGE & magical project!

Earlier in the summer (sigh), Jessica paired us up and we all swapped products. I was paired up with a teacher I hadn't previously known - the lovely Joy Hall from Joy of Teaching.
It was such a pleasure to "meet" her & her products are...WOW!
Click here to read her review of 2 of my products (Thanks Joy!)
Read on to learn more about her products...I can't wait to show you how amazing they are!
Side note: she's from my home state of Ohio & we both were familiar with each other's small towns :)

I was pinching myself when she suggested her Kindergarten Roundhop:Math Games Based on Common Core Standards. I had seen many things at her store, like the Touch Money Smartboard lesson ( if you haven't used this method of teaching coin values - go check it out!).Thinking about the students I will be working with this year, I felt that her math games & activities would be the most helpful:
aren't they cute? |
It was like my birthday when I opened this file!
Here's what I found:
Here's what I found:
There are 5 colorful gameboards. You can mix and match them with the different sets of game cards. They are all so different from each other & feature high-interest graphics and themes. The recommendation is to print them on 8 x 14" paper. Because I was so impatient, I went ahead and played with my print screen options & printed them on regular-sized cardstock. They turned out great! I can't pick a favorite theme from the dinosaurs, outer space, pizza (yum!), etc....so I'll have to let my students choose!
There are TEN sets of game cards covering the Kindergarten Common Core standards. These are simply fantastic! I printed out the sets on different colored cardstock to keep them organized. I feel like I could use these cards for many other activties, too! I plan on storing them on a book ring & using them for "quick-check" assessments. With ten sets of cards covering all the standards, I feel like I hit the jackpot!
Here's another really cool feature - the cards are to be printed 2-sided to have the answers on the back. They were super easy to align (got it right on the 1st try!) and I appreciate the self-checking feature. Detailed directions on how to assemble and implement the activities are included if you run into any difficulty.
I wish I could offer an action shot of my students playing these games, but we still have 2 weeks of professional development before they walk through the school doors. So, this picture will have to do for now:
No, no, thank you for participating!! It was a pleasure!
