Thank you Farley, I look forward to these every month!
Listening - my house alarm just went off! It's still dark out & I had opened my living room window. I live in the city, so open windows can be invitations... 15 minutes later my alarm goes off, I run to the window, & hear people talking outside. Maybe it was a malfunction...I have no idea, but I shut the window with force (I'm sure that showed them, ha!), & reset the alarm. Still a little freaked out.
Loving - I'm developing a K-cup addiction!
Thinking - blogging has been a HUGE stress-reliever lately.
More on that under "wanting."
Wanting - this is a toughie. Morale at my school is low & it's so upsetting to me. I ♥ my school...I chose to work there & it's heartbreaking to hear the negativity. Plus, it's contagious & I've been coming home feeling disillusioned. Hopefully, this too shall pass (soon!) & the positivity will return. Personally, I'm enjoying my new caseload - my students are hilarious & such hard workers!
Needing - a gift certificate to Athleta...I want EVERYTHING I see in the catalogs, especially the cute dresses! So, I'm thinking a $1000 gift certificate should cover it ;)
Book - As a special educator, I don't read aloud books! Bummer, I know. I chose the Pumpkin, Pumpkin book because it's in a Making Meaning comprehension kit I used last year. Can't wait to read about other bloggers' faves!
Have a super Saturday!
Having your home alarm go off can be so scary! Mine went off a few weeks ago at 2 am and it scared me to death. It was just a malfunction on the front door alarm but let's just say I didn't get any more sleep that night! I love the book Pumpkin Pumpkin too!

KinderKids Fun
I have been thinking the same thing about blogging full time! Think of all the time we would have! Staff morale has been a problem at my school in the past. We started having a remarkable teacher award that a teacher would pass on to someone they thought did an outstanding job. We would pass it every week.
ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that with the alarm! Ugh! It's the worst feeling, and then you just stand there (sometimes with baseball bat in hand) and wait for something else to happen. Hope things settled down!

Carried Away in Kindergarten
It isn't any fun when teacher morale is low. Even as a new teacher I see it, and it really rains on your parade! There are so many more productive things we can be doing that complaining about things we can't fix. It's so hard to sit in meetings like that especially, because you can't just get up and leave. I try to bring papers to grade or lesson plans to finish for when that starts to happen. Cause I keep my lips zipped. Good luck! If it helps, I LOVE YOUR BLOG! It would make me happy if you were a full time blogger;) haha Enjoy the weekend, hope you feel refreshed:)
ReplyDeleteWe are ALL Special!
I have a house for sale that doesn't have or need an alarm...We could be neighbors, but it might be a stressful commute every morning! I'm with you on the K cups...LOVE! I had to come up with all kinds of justifications for buying my maker, but pure fun and enjoyment would have been all the justification necessary. I love your blog!
