Look what I found!
This was at my grocery store in the holiday card section!
I quickly "adapted" my students' favorite game to
give it a festive feel:
The game cards include CVC, CVCe, and sight words...plus an upper/lowercase alphabet set. My students have been working non-stop on CVCe these past 2 weeks, so we will be reinforcing those words while having some fun.
I just uploaded Coal! this morning.
I just uploaded Coal! this morning.
In addition to 180 text cards, there are the following game cards:
The cards fit perfectly in the bag.
I can't wait to see my students' faces!
& just in case they aren't too thrilled about receiving coal...

Just kidding, it's completely unrelated.
We've been reviewing classroom management at school and one teacher had the terrific idea of journaling to express our feelings. We have one particular young lady who loves to write and would greatly benefit from having a creative outlet to express her feelings in an appropriate way. Her teacher is providing her with a composition notebook and pasting the Feelings Bank above in the inside cover. This teacher plans on corresponding with the student by writing notes back in the notebook - I think it's a fabulous idea! This student will be receiving the individual attention she wants from her teacher in a positive manner :)

Please let me know if you think any of the above teaching tools would work with your students - I'd love to hear from you!
Have a spectacular Sunday!
How cute! I will have to try to find that coal bag when I go to the grocery store! My students would also love this as a fun way to practice those pesky sight words! Thanks for sharing the idea!

I hope you find the bag! It was displayed with a bright green "Grinch" bag, too - which of course, I also picked up!
DeleteThanks for the feeling pictures:) One of my students has an IEP goal to identify different emotions and his emotions....so I'll incorporate this to start with. Hope it works the way I picture it;)

I hope it works, too! The graphics are from Teachers Clipart (TPT). They could easily be made into picture/text flashcards, worksheets, etc. Please keep me posted on your student! Good luck!
