Happy Sunday & St. Patrick's Day!
Since I pretty much skipped St. Patrick's Day with my students (besides using a green marker & some cute shamrock erasers as math counters), I vow to make it up to my students this week before our Spring Break!
We are still in heavy test preparation mode, plus continuing our regular lessons. This past Friday, we introduced regrouping (yikes!) and this week we'll be extending the concept to double-digits.
I will be using my updated Math Egg Inserts to tackle this concept - I can't wait to show these to my students! Last year's students LOVED them!
Here's a freebie page feauring numbers 1-12
in standard and word form:
Since I'll be using the regrouping jelly bean cards inside the eggs, I plan on having my students match the numerals to the word form (minus the egg). My students are not yet able to read all of the words, but I want them to practice looking for clues (i.e.: beginning sounds; "I hear the /tw/ at the beginning of twelve").
It will be terrific practice!
Speaking of freebies, I also updated my Freebie Bunny Time file this weekend:
You can download it right here!
My other weekend project was putting the finishing touches on my Funny Bunny Short U Activity packet. I'm updating ALL of my phonics packets to include some must-have activities I have had success with this past school year. I ♥ the graphics from Collective Creation.
Such cute bunny graphics & they aren't Easter, so I can use them all year 'round!
I need to give a MAJOR shout-out to Creative Creation. I had purchased several files from her TPT store and was able to download all of them but one. It actually did download but couldn't be "extracted." I emailed her & she responded almost immediately with some tips. It took us three tries & the file is now open :) She was so easy to work with, plus persistant with this pesky file. I was as impressed with her professionalism as I am with her artwork. No surprise with a TPT seller, but still a nice experience.
Now I need to take a break from bunnies & my computer.
Have a wonderful week!

Very cute and useful! However, I don't want to subscribe to Scribd. I thought there was a way to download/print as a guest but can't find it now. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
