My Truth Monday: Creepy Edition

Welcome new followers - I'm so glad you're here!

I'm (un)officially referring to this wonderful linky party
as My Truth Tuesday:

Thank you Sunny Days!

Here's my creepy edition:

I actually ♥ bananas, but when they still have a hint of green. Once they even feel slightly soft, I'm over it. The smell, the texture...I was also told an urban legend that the little black seeds that become more prominent as the banana ripens were actually fruit fly eggs. That did it for me!

I watched scary movies ALL the time when I was younger. I absolutely loved them! My favorites (note: I'm old) were the original Halloween and The Shining. I think it's because I saw those at a very young, impressionable age (like 10). Very. Scary. Now I seem to jump out of my chair when someone walks in the door, so scary movies are completely out.

I've shared my dilemmas with mice before. The mice came first in our old public city school building. It's definitely an "us vs. them" situation. The wonderful custodial staff just patched another mouse hole in my office last week when I witnessed a little party going on in the corner. Very. Very. Creepy.

Tomorrow is going to be very fun! My Power Hour group earned their first Read and Write the Room! Please send prayers! I have a back-up plan, just in case. It's also our Book Character Costume Parade. I'll be posting pictures very soon!
I will leave you with this gem I found waiting for me today:

This is EXACTLY how I was hoping my students saw me ;)
