Phonics Freebie for /ng/

Happy Sunday!

Today I'm offering a freebie I'm REALLY excited about!

In the past, my firsties have really struggled with decoding /ng/!
It's so hard for them to "chunk" it together...I keep hearing /n/ and /g/ as they tackle one sound at a time. You, too? When I saw it creeping up on the scope and sequence a couple weeks ago, I was determined this year was going to be our year! It also happened to be the lesson for my formal observation ;)

There's two freebie I'm offering to practice decoding this tricky blend!
Please click here to download the first set of picture/text resources.

I also made a new blending page to provide extra practice:

I added to my Blending Sample freebie. If you've already downloaded it, please redownload (here) to get TWO new pages. The sampler now includes 2 initial blend pages and 2 final blends (/ng/ and /nk/).
