Decluttering: Part Deux

Happy Snowy Tuesday!

I had to stop and think "is it really Tuesday?" I'm all out of sorts because we had another snow day today! Baltimore and surrounding areas were forecasted to receive about 6 inches today. So far, I'd guesstimate the city has maybe 2 :(

I'd be happy with 0 or 10+, just so it's very obvious if school will be closed or not. It's that waiting and wondering that zaps my productivity!

Now that I've had a long weekend, and then some, to get reacquainted with my house, I've really been focusing on organization (as I discussed here!).
I wanted to share a few updates since then!

Right now my house and teaching materials feel like they're in decent order, or at least it can wait until summer. I'm turning all my energy towards electronics. Here's what I've been up to these last few days:

1. Upgraded my smart phone (cute yellow iphone 5!) and erased ALL my old photos. I also cleaned up my contacts and reassigned ringtones :)

2. Clean out both of my email accounts (actually I'm still working on one of them). A huge help was Unroll.me (thanks Charity Preston for sharing the link in the January TBTS newsletter). I had manually unsubscribed  to most lists (or so I thought) about a year ago,  but Unroll Me still found over 100 lists I was on! I couldn't believe it! I kept about 10 (Bloglovin', Teachers Pay Teachers, White House Black Market...).  Thanks again Charity for the time-saving suggestion!

3. I'm finally tackling Dropbox. I pulled EVERYTHING onto my Dropbox (I have the upgraded version). I even went to all My Purchases at TPT and redownloaded all the revised files.
Now I'm painstakingly going through every single file and renaming/deleting. I emptied the contents of every file onto dropbox and deleted all my folders. After I'm done cleaning all of it (5000+ files!), I'll redo my folders. I'm thinking of using the Common Core Standards for assigning folders, but then I also want to keep holidays/themes separate. Luckily (or not), it's going to take several months to clean up before I have to worry about the folders! The best news? It feels like Christmas over here! I had downloaded from blog hops, Facebook frenzies, etc. without taking the time to really open and look at the products. Now I literally have hundreds (thousands?) of "new-to-me" files to look through :)

On this snowy day, I also linked up with I ♥ Recess for a Mathematical/Valentine's Day Freebie Linky. I'm happy I didn't have to choose...my All is Love Number Sense Pack covers both!

Please be sure to visit the linky...there are tons of fantastic finds!

Have a wonderful week!
