This is a quick post to share something I've been having success with this school year. I teach Special Education first grade inclusion for the majority of my day and a pull-out reading intervention small group. I've been using various resources for literacy, including Fountas & Pinnell Leveled Literacy Instruction

We usually tackle 2-3 lessons per week in the Green Series. I've been making half-page writing follow-ups for each book because my students need the concrete model. The pages feature the predictable sentence from the book and offer a space to illustrate (check for comprehension!).

I tuck a master copy (1 page = 2 half-pages) in each green file folder as I go, so next year...it's on!
