More Seusstastical Freebies!

Happy Tuesday!

We have a 2-hour delay here in Maryland. Delays are not too much fun for our little ones...they are not served breakfast when they arrive at 9:30 and they often arrive a little out of sorts. We don't have busing, so our classes will be half-full today.
I really hope my students come!

It's Day 2 of the fabulous linky hosted by Primary Chalkboard!

Today (and everyday this week!) is "Everything Dr. Seuss."

Perfect timing to share what I'm doing with my Guided Reading groups this week. We will be doing Reader's Theater for an "abridged" version of Green Eggs and Ham:

I talked about this set here
please follow the link to download this freebie!

I'm also taking advantage of the two hour delay to stop by Target and pick up more Dr. Seuss books! I had them all in my hand on Saturday and then put them down. UGH!
I hope they still have some left!

Here's a cute book bin label I'm using:

We will also be doing a Shared Reading activity featuring my all-time favorite motivational quotes! I use Shared Reading as the opening activity for our "Power Hour" (Guided Reading) block. We keep the same set all week and talk about what we notice...sight words, phonics spellings, rhyming words, etc,

This week, I'm using my newest product I finally uploaded:

The set includes sentence strips for five quotes by the wonderful Dr. Seuss! I also included colorful graphics for extra fun :)

There's also a writing page for an extension:

This packet is perfect for Read Across America week, but I plan on using the five sets throughout the school year. Please leave a comment or link up to share what you're doing with your students!

Have a super day!
