Hope you're having a fantastic Teacher Appreciation Week!
I just completed Round 1 of my massive TPT shopping spree!
Now I just need to rack up some feedback credits and prepare for Round 2 tonight!
Have you already shopped? Please leave a comment on the fab things you've snapped up! If you haven't stocked up yet, please hurry...the sale ends tonight! With TPT's generous promotion code, everything in my store is 28% off!
We still have 30-something days left of school. I'm honestly not even counting yet - we still have a long way to go! This is a great time of year for "teacher confessions," haha, I'm sure everyone is pulling out all the stops now to motor on through the final weeks.
I'm linking up with Rowdy in First Grade to share something I'm doing, but not super-proud of.
Behold:
Yup, that is a storage bin full of mini-mini-beanie babies.
Like 65 of them :)
Like 65 of them :)
Their official name: "Reading Buddies" and they live inside my independent book bags:
I also confess to hoarding those Step Into Reading books featuring the latest and greatest cartoon characters. I remember the days I was above all that and chose only authentic, award-winning children's literature :) Sigh...these books are seriously the bomb with my firsties. Place a story from "Frozen" or "Monsters University" in front of them and
they are independent reading like a boss!
they are independent reading like a boss!
Nope, not proud.
But I do feel so much better now that I've confessed!
Please read more teacher confessions (they are seriously funny!)
and add your own!
and add your own!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

I love that your books have buddies!!! That is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteYour confession cracked me up! Funny how we change our thinking and some things seem not worth the battle! Thanks for linking up!

I don't think beanie babies and cartoon books are really in need of a confession - I mean your kiddos are reading and that's what matters. :)
