Gotta love summer...blogging 2 days in a row!
First up is Mrs. Jump's Class!
Yesterday, I participated in The Teaching Tribune's 2 for Tuesday party. But because I added my link sooo late, I'm extended my 50% sale through today! That means my beloved firstborn newest product GRIT Trackers is still on sale! It still feels like a dream that I finally finished this! You can read more about it
(& see some pictures!) here.
My other sale item JUST got a much-needed makeover!
I'm keeping this packet on sale for only $1.00 today :)
Back to the Book Link-Up...in the spirit of Independence Day,
I wanted to share one of my favorites:
The artwork is gorgeous and the rhythm will draw the children in!
What's your favorite holiday book?
I'm also linking up with Kindergals:
Now that the GRIT Trackers have been uploaded, my next big project is my homework packets. Every week, I prepare a 1st grade differentiated homework packet. Teachers can decide which students receive this packet...usually it's between 15-20% of our first graders. This packet is differentiated by presentation (format, using boxes to organize, easy-to-read font) and content (extra practice, more scaffolding). I make them every year and constantly adjust them for what the students need. The weekly packets have at least three pages per day (sight words, phonics, math), plus a few extra for the weekend
(writing, comprehension, more math!).
I keep an open file labeled "HW" for homework and I'm not proud to admit it's now over 300 pages! Every week during the school year, I would open the file and add some more. Now it's time to sit down and organize it...mostly to make my life much easier throughout the school year. It would be so nice to just open and print! I may have to break it down to three or more categories: sight words, phonics, and math. Maybe a fourth for "holiday."
What would you like to see in the packet?
Please leave a comment - thanks!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Sounds like you have a busy week! My favorite 4th of July book is Corduroy's 4th of July.
