Work Your Wear & Freebie!

Happy Week Three of the Work Your Wear Challenge!

I'm actually a little bummed out it's already Week 3 - I'll miss participating and all the fun camaraderie from the group.

I'm also linking up with
The Pleated Poppy, Tucker Up, and A Little Lovely Wardrobe.

Here's the latest outfits! Which one do you like?

I'm upping the ante with behavior during Week 5 of the school year. As I've been getting to know my students better and they are adjusting to first grade, I've been adding supports to help them be successful in the classroom. I'm so happy to report we are are seeing progress! Tantrums have been extinguished (fingers crossed it stays that way!) and time on task has increased. We still have a long way to go, but now we're tackling the nitty gritty.

I've been sharing behavior supports I've created and used with specific students (there's two - twins!). This week, I added this freebie to the behavior packet:

I feel it is SO important for my little guys to feel a sense of control and responsibility for their actions. This chart helps do just that by having the student select the "prize" they are working towards and the actions they must take to achieve this. This particular example shows four daily opportunities for the student to color in a "brain box." Easy-peasy and very simple to adapt as needs change. It's also visual so my student can see all the rockstar progress he is making!

I added a blank template of this chart to this freebie packet
Please click here to read about the previous "superhero supports" we've been using.

I also wanted to link up (for the first time!) with one of my fave TPT-ers Miss Decarbo :)

I'm not sure if you've noticed that I've been offering a lot of behavior freebies lately. My new caseload is keeping me on my toes, for sure! I welcome any prayers :)

Please note: student is seated, using materials appropriately, and engaged in this rapid-fire CVC/CCVC Blast game - winning!

Have a fantastic week!
