Therapeutic Thursday!

Ah, Therapeutic Thursday!

I can't wait to read what other bloggers suggest for Therapeutic Thursday! I'm always looking for more ideas to destress from my day.

About 99% of the time I stay on track with my healthy lifestyle which I believe is key to managing stress.

I LOVE lifting weights and interval training. I go to the gym Monday-Friday before school. If I skip a day, I feel really off track.

This healthy habit leads to others...I love Under Armour (retail therapy!) & I'm quite sure I own every color of UA tops available. My other addiction includes downloading mixes from www.rockmyrun.com - their mixes have literally pushed me to keep going during longer runs - they are that good!

My not-so-healthy habit that feels like therapy,
but I really just need to give up once & for all
(besides coffee, which I will never give up!):

This trail mix is crazy-good and is SUCH a slippery slope. It all starts with me telling myself "nuts are healthy" which then leads to "I'll just have one serving." Unfortunately, one serving is maybe 10 peanuts, a raisin, and chocolate-covered something. It's way too easy to eat the whole bag in one sitting (like during my commute to work!).

I'm sure many people will list mani-pedi's as therapeutic,
but I can't :(

I LOVE the results, but can barely stand sitting there for an entire hour while getting them done! I realize that's strange, but I'm always on the go & don't have time to waste! It's a bonus when I can have a pedi and gel manicure done at the SAME time, which saves me about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, I inherited nails that are just awful (hope my mother isn't reading this) & manicures every 2 weeks are a necessity, not a luxury. I've tried to do them myself, but it's just a disaster. I really prefer not to frighten anyone, so I keep a standing nail appointment every two weeks.

This blogpost ended up being more about vices than therapy, but many days they become one & the same.
Whatever gets you through!

  1. I understand your mani-pedi feelings! I don't ever get my nails done, but I do get a pedicure every few months and I go kinda crazy just sitting there. I bring my mom and sister for girl time!
