My Teacher Always Says...

Well, let's see if I still know how to link up!

I'm taking a break from unpacking, reorganizing, and repacking all my teaching resources. I've come to the conclusion that I will NEVER need to purchase anything teaching-related for the rest of my career! Seriously, I have enough school supplies & then some!

I ♥ the idea of this linky & only wish I could ask my own students!
I have a pretty good idea what they'd say...

I say this waaayyy too much! Actually, after September, I only have to say "Easy Peasy" and my students reply "Lemon Squeezy!" :)

Next...

Sometimes my students lose focus :(
I pull small groups throughout the day and there are times we have to find a different location for a performance assessment, etc. This is where "Ready, Freddie?" comes into play. My students get distracted walking down the hall (all those other classrooms to look in!) and I have to provide more than a few prompts to keep going.
"Sorry, Charlie!" is used for all those requests I have to sadly deny.

This is another frequently used term. Many times my students want to hang around and this is a gentle way to say goodbye. We also use this when we have to put away a fun "game" (i.e.: Phonics "Blast!"). We even say it to flashcards as we master them: "see ya later!" My students will often respond on cue:
 "In awhile, crocodile!"  ♥ them!

And, lastly:

Enough said!

Here's a super cute freebie I picked up from the fabulous Nikki (& new grandmother!!) from Melonheadz Illustrating. I display this prominently near my supplies.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

  2. Thank you so much for joining me. It's fun to read all the things that teachers say. I do "Bummer" too. I borrowed it from Love and Logic. I like how your kids say goodbye to games. I think my first graders would love doing that. Thanks again!
