Throwback Thursday Linky

The amazing Cara Carroll (Happy Anniversary!)
has invited all of us to a HUGE party:

I have to admit, it was only one short week ago that I had
to google #tbt because I kept seeing it on Instagram.
Fast forward one week & I'm all about it!

My TBT is just for fun. I still have many cringe moments reading past blogposts, but I found one from not too long ago that made me smile! Here it is with UPDATES!

Questions about Silhouette Cameo - HELP!

I would REALLY like one of these:

(not specifically the "Portrait," although it does look intriguing!)

Do you have a Cameo? Do you absolutely love it?

UPDATE:
Mine just came this week & I ♥ it!!!

I've been thinking about it for a few months and the main thing that stops me is the fact that I'm. NOT. Crafty. In fact, if there's a word that means the opposite of crafty - that would be me :)

I blame my mother (!) who could figure out how to turn a piece of lint into an A+ school project. Home-cooked meals made from scratch, vegetables from the garden, homemade EVERYTHING. Which I didn't appreciate at the time, of course. With a mother like that, I never needed to even THINK about being creative...I just asked my mom!

I have 0% craftiness, as evident by my house:

Some people may describe my decorating skills as "undeveloped" or they may ask "did you just move in?" I'm not sure what to call it, especially when I see things like this (so inspiring!).

But please note, I did put out a Christmas candle
(actually Mr. D did).

UPDATE:
My house looks exactly the same, sans the Christmas candle.

So, anyway, should I get a cameo? Do I need to have any prerequisite skills? Will it be a waste of money because I can't cut straight & struggle with tape? It looks awesome because it comes out printed and cut, right? So you wouldn't need to have any skills (I hope)? PLEASE leave a comment with any advice (pros and/or cons). Thanks!!

Also, one more piece of advice I'm seeking...I need to purchase a car IMMEDIATELY. I live in the city, so I definitely want a small easy-to-parallel-park car. I was coveting this:

but the dealership is a bit too far away & I know I won't want to drive all the way out there to get an oil change every three months. Does anyone know of a reliable, affordable, yet "fun" car?

UPDATE:
JUST ONE MONTH LATER, I GOT THIS SURPRISE!!

Thanks for any help you can provide! I'll be back to business tomorrow with teaching tips & a freebie!

Go Ravens!

UPDATE:
Superbowl CHAMPS!! Woohoo!!!

Hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane!
Don't forget to link back up & read others' TBT.

Have a terrific day!

  1. I am not crafty either! I am trying so hard, but it is a tad challenging for me. I'd love to hear more about your Cameo! I am debating getting one for myself, but not sure if I want to spend the $$.

  2. I'm glad I'm not the only one, haha! I'll let you know...I found the Silhouette Portrait for an amazing price. It's smaller than the Cameo, but I think it will be okay for what I'm using it for. I'll let you know!
    Thanks for the comment,
