Five for Friday: Elf Edition!

TGIF! We made it!
I hope you had a fantastic week back after the holiday!

I'm linking up with Kacey to share about our busy, but fun week:

It was all about the ELF!!

Meet Ho Bo!

Yes, my students named him "HO!" as in HO! HO! HO!

I used some pretty smooth teaching skills to convince them "Bo" was a better name. So as I see all those cute elf names on Pinterest, such as "Elfie" and "Elfis," I feel mine is slightly inadequate. It's much better than Justin Bieber (the name of our elf two years ago). Last year, the elf stayed in hiding - it was a wild bunch!

Bo has been up to his usual tricks and my students are ALL about it!

He will even be stylin' (darn Amazon Prime!):

December can be a crazy month for behavior and focus, but with Bo as my partner, I'm already seeing AMAZING things! We are starting "self-choice" for Daily 5 centers and every student is requesting the "Work on Writing" center. That definitely was NOT happening before Bo's arrival.

I used the journals from my forever-freebie:

This packet is full of ideas and printables to celebrate your visitor...however, there are also a few ELA printables you could use even if you don't have an elf in your classroom.

Do you have a favorite product that you use this season?
Feel free to leave a link in the comments!

Enjoy & have a wonderful weekend!
