Another One Bites the Dust!

I love that song! It's also the name of a fun new linky party!

Amber from Adventures of a Third Grade Teacher started this fabulous themed linky party! The requirement to join was to reflect on what went well this past school year, as well as what didn't. So here goes...

Starting off with the GOOD GREAT:

PROGRESS! I looped my kindergarteners to 1st this past year & I would never have dreamed of the amazing progress they have made & are still making! This past month alone has been remarkable! I'm not looping them to 2nd, but I'm so thankful I was given the opportunity to loop & will definitely consider it again in the future.

1st Grade Team - I joined a new team this year & felt SO welcomed! Although I'm still in awe of their amazing skills, I felt I was able to contribute and work effectively with the 5 others teachers :)

TPT!!! - I just discovered TPT this past year as a buyer and then a seller! To say this has been career-changing is a HUGE understatement. It would take me an entire post (& then some) to reflect on how WONDERFUL TPT is and how it has revolutionized my teaching 100%!

Blogging - seriously, where had I been before I started stalking teaching blogs? Why didn't they teach this in college??? This past November I started my own blog, which has been a bit intimidating (and still is). I'm enjoying "meeting" teachers from across the country & beyond to share ideas with the most important goal in mind - our students' learning.

As you can see, it's been an INCREDIBLE year!

But now for the not-so-good...

Social Life - there just wasn't one for me this past year. It's really hard to have a social life when you are either working, working out, or asleep! ;)

Balance - this also just didn't happen for me this year!
Number one goal for next year!

Paperwork - let's just not talk about it :(

17 more school days before I can get cracking on turning around the not-so-good!

  1. Love that your team was so welcoming. It is always hard walking into a working team. I guess I'm a little behind on becoming a teacher blog addict, but better late than never! Sounds like you had a great year.
