Class Act

This past week was the 1st grade class play. It was ADORABLE!
The students did such a great job, especially considering how insane unstructured  the last few weeks of school are.

The script was adapted from this terrific book:

If you haven't read this - you MUST! It's such a great book! It also lends itself nicely for 25 speaking parts.  It's even differentiated - some parts have 10 lines, some parts have 4 words :)
 Can't say enough about it!

We practiced & practiced & practiced.
(We may have threatened to reassign the zebra a few times, too).

End result: happy students,  proud parents, & very thankful teachers:

(we do costumes "old-school" - construction paper, paper plates,
... or just the school uniform!).

  3. Thanks! It's a really great book - it was first published in 1971! Very wordy with catchy rhymes, definitely a terrific read-aloud!
