Happy Friday!
It's Day 3 for Blog Hoppin's Welcome 2014 Linky Party!
This is also one of my favorite topics to talk about!
In fact, I already have...here's a throwback to October:

My Truth: Fitness (& a rockstar freebie!)
I do know it's NOT Monday (thank goodness),
but I can't wait until next Monday to join in on this linky:
Thank you to Sunny Days for organizing this party!
This is a 12-week linky, so please join the fun! This week's topic is fitness and I've enjoyed reading about other bloggers' ups & downs in this area (hopefully, more ups).
Mine is a bit different and I almost hesitated to post this...
Well, if it wasn't clear I don't have too much of a life,
it should be crystal now!
I did whip up a quick freebie to highlight some of my students' rockstar work in my intervention room. Click here to grab this header to use anywhere you want to show off your own rockstar's efforts:
I used scrapbook paper to make a vertical column on a wall, then posted the work centered on each piece of paper. I cut out the little star figures to paste next to their work and topped it off with the header. I'll snap a pic soon!
Back to 2014...
I may be late linking up tomorrow for "Professional," because I'm waking up at the crack of dawn on Saturday to attend this! I always eat clean, but the Whole 30 program has helped me tweak my nutritional needs so I feel even better! The biggest benefit? I feel like I'm eating twice the amount of food because all my meals consist of whole, fresh foods. While I feel like I have my eating plan and fitness regimen pretty solid, this workshop focuses on how the two can work together. Awesome! It also focuses on other healthy habits, like sleep. That's an area I continue to struggle with. I'll be back soon to share what I learn!
Because it's Friday, I'm also linking up with

I've been blogging so much this week, please forgive me as I double & triple-dip this post for all the link-ups. The above posting is going to count for #5 (Fitness) and #4 (Rockstar Freebie).
Here's the next three:
3. Snow Day!!! Today is another snow day! It's always appreciated, but not timed too well. Today was a professional development with no students! I actually need time at school to make copies for Monday. Yesterday I attended 4 meetings totaling 6 hours and then we watched this:
American Promise
The combination of all the meetings focusing on data and then watching this inspiring film leads me to the perfect storm...
2. DATA!!! Next week we'll be wrapping up our mid-point F&P, plus start NWEA/MAP-Testing. It's when I start panicking about the four "buckets" I try to evenly split my time between...I.E.P. Goals and Objective, NWEA/MAP, Guided Reading Levels (as measured by Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark Assessment), and the general education curriculum (Common Core Standards). I know all of these buckets overlap, but oh my goodness, sometimes it gets a tad overwhelming. I'm dreaming of creating one huge file with all the data correlating. Anybody else?
1. Philadelphia!!! Tomorrow is the day - it's finally here! Last night I bit the bullet and purchased train tickets for my day trip to Philly to attend The Whole Athlete Seminar. I really hope it helps me put the puzzle pieces (nutrition + fitness) together. Can't wait!

I'm also linking up this week with Teaching Blog Addicts' Freebie Friday (♥). Check out other freebie resources here! I'm so honored and excited to be TBA's Featured Blogger this week! Thank you!!!
That's too bad your missed the day in your classroom. We have a day of PD on Monday and supposedly the afternoon is ours so I'm looking forward to that. Good luck at your seminar! I have no ambition to exercise…it will be a sad day for me when what I eat starts to show and that has to change!
