Happy Monday!
I just returned last night from visiting Ohio. It wasn't supposed to be "night," but there's some wild weather out there and our flight was delayed. The trip started out so promising:
The plane was empty! There were more than 100 empty seats!
We all had our own row...I had the aisle, middle, and window seat all to myself.
But no need to get used to that!
The flight home was delayed for about 30 minutes, then oversold. When we got on and all settled (with me in a middle seat sitting next to someone who may have never flown before, just taking a guess!), the pilot announced that we'd been delayed again for another hour! The flight was actually fine, but a little longer than planned because we had to fly around the weather.
Luckily I had this AWESOME book! I just finished the Immersion chapter...WOW! Super easy read, but don't be deceived - you can only read one short chapter and then you have to take a break because you'll have SO many ideas for your own classroom! ♥
I wanted to quickly share about a few "happenings" I'm really excited about!
First is a HUGE anniversary giveaway from a teacher blogger who has been SO SWEET to correspond with. I'm so grateful to be a part of this celebration - please go check it out!
I'm also totally losing the Scavenger Hunt over at Blog Hoppin'- I have one week of summer break left to pick up the pace!
Here's my few measly entries...I'm all about it today! My list of errands includes Michaels and Target - watch my Instagram for more!
I'm also linky up with Classroom Freebies for:
I wanted to share my Sight Word Chant Sticks:
There's 32 "sticks," plus a blank template. Since I'm in two classrooms, plus an intervention (resource) room, I printed out the entire file twice, assembled the sticks, and divided them into 3 cute pencil holders. Each holder has about 20+ sticks:
My students loved them last year - I can't wait to show them to the rising kindergarteners!
Have a wonderful week!

OH! I would love to have an airplane row to myself! That is LIVING!!! AND I need to get that book! Thank you for linking up with us!!!
ReplyDeletehaha, it was lovely, but unfortunately only a 55 minute flight! Yes, definitely get the book - it's pumping me up to go back to school NEXT week!
DeleteThanks for your comment :)

I love the sight word sticks and was wondering if you have a post describing how you use them with the children. Thank you for sharing your talents with others!
