"Boo" Talk Tuesday

Happy Tuesday!

This post is linked up with Mrs. Jump's Class

What October themes are you exploring this week?
I can't wait to read everyone else's recommendations!

This week we are continuing our deep dive into Are You My Mother? during comprehension. We did it last year and it was enjoyable, but this year? Wow! My students are LOVING it! I'm working with a student who exhibits echolalia and this book is FULL of fun phrases. We're also tackling IEP goals and objectives focused on the WH questions - this book has been the perfect venue.

If you're also teaching this book,
be sure to watch the youtube read aloud:

My intervention group is happily comparing and contrasting different Halloween books! The following read-alouds are lined up for the next couple weeks:

(I worked so hard to try to center that widget - any ideas?)
We just finished spiders last week and bats are on the horizon. But this week, it was all about monsters. Take a look at our sensory box:

(Materials: water beads, "sticky eyeballs" from Target, &1 pack of colorful roly eyes from Michaels) Luckily, my students weren't too spooked by this. They absolutely LOVED putting their hands in :)

Have a fabulous week!
