It's been a busy, but fun week!

We wrapped up our Measurement/Data unit last week with our big end-of-unit assessment. My students totally rocked it! The assessment included paper-to-pencil application, as well as a performance task. I felt it was a true representation of my students' understanding and I was really proud of them!
This week, we started our Place Value unit and my students have continued to be rockstars. Now that Common Core is not such a mystery and we've built up our confidence a bit...it's been nice to be able to reach back and grab materials to support our firsties.
We kicked off the unit with some hands-on fun:

ReplyDeleteThose stamps are so cool! I never thought about students creating their own manipulatives! I'm always so quick to give them everything. This was too creative! Great Job!
